Albert Andrew “Bert” Bauer, 88, of North Webster, IN passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Summit City Nursing Rehab in Fort Wayne. He was born on October 22, 1923 in Celina, OH to Valentine & Chloral (Counterman) Bauer.
He graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne, IN and was married on January 26, 1963 in Fort Wayne to Phyllis A. (Moore) Galbreath who survives. He moved to Arizona in 1971 from Fort Wayne and then to North Webster August 2011. He retired in 1988 from St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, AZ as an engineer after 16 years and was formerly employed with Eckrich Meats in Fort Wayne for 20 years.

2 Sons – Ronald Bauer of Fort Wayne & Theodore (wife, Bridgette) Bauer of Greenville, OH
Step Daughter – Sandra Minnick of Warsaw
3 Step Sons – Larry (wife, Jane) Galbreath of Phoenix, AZ; William “Bill” (wife, Tina) Galbreath of Grants Pass, OR; & Donald Galbreath of North Webster

He was preceded by his parents, sister – Wilma Alcox, & 3 brothers – Darrell, Joe, & Gene Bauer
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Mock addition of the North Webster Cemetery with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to the donor’s choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
