Alberta L. "Bert" Hardin

Alberta L. “Bert” Hardin, 87, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in her residence. She was born on October 8, 1925 in Cuzco, IN to Raleigh & Anna Joyce (Collins) Hilton.

She graduated in 1942 from Cuzco High School and on June 20, 1942 in French Lick, IN she married Ollie Hardin Jr. who preceded her on May 7, 1998. She moved to the North Webster area 55 years ago from Pendleton, IN and formerly worked at the M & M Restaurant in North Webster where she was in charge of the desert & salad bar for nearly 30 years.

She was a member of the Christian Church in Cuzco, American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 in North Webster and she formerly attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster.

She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Ruth (Jack) Chestnut of Griffith, IN & Judith Cullers of North Webster
Son – Steve (wife, Wahnema) Hardin of Warsaw
6 Grand, 10 Gt. Grand & 3 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Lana Sue Walker of Bedford, IN

She was preceded by her parents, husband, sister – Doris Cundiff, brother – Clifton Hilton & 2 infant brothers.

Gravesides services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at North Webster Cemetery, St. Rd 13, North Webster with granddaughter, Elyse Hardin officiating.

Memorial bequest may be given to Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
