Alex Jackson "Jack" Simpson, 71, of North Webster, IN passed away at 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born on March 9, 1950 in Centertown, KY to John W. & Civilla G. (Barrett) Simpson.
He attended Centertown High School, received his GED from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, and was a United States Marine. He moved to the North Webster area 49 years ago from Kentucky and was married on November 4, 1972 in Syracuse, IN to Cindy L. Wise who survives. He retired from Dana Corporation in Syracuse after 30 years.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and American Legion Post 253 both in North Webster.
He is survived by:
Wife – Cindy Simpson of North Webster
Daughter – Amber Booher of North Webster
2 Sons – Thomas (Tabitha) Simpson and Jeffrey (Gracie) Simpson both of Leesburg
8 Grand, 2 Gt. Grandsons, 4 Step Grand, and 7 Step Gt. Grandchildren
3 Sisters – Jennifer (Jim) Likens of North Webster, Susie Simpson of Warsaw, and Cynthia (John) Wyatt of Centertown
Brother – Oscar “Gene” Simpson of Centertown
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters – Teresa Ogburn & Janie Green, and brother – John Simpson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Church of the Brethren, 7281 E 600 N, North Webster, IN with Pastor Bob Wyman officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery with military honors.
