Alice Rhoads (Gibbs)

Alice Coralie Rhoads, 62, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:01 AM in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Alice was born to Dale Louis and Alice Coralie (McGrath) Gibbs in Sandusky, Ohio on December 30, 1951.
However, she lived most of her life in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Alice was a machine operator for Spartech Corporation for 27 years and retired in 2004.
She attended Mentone (Indiana) United Methodist Church. Alice was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #49, Warsaw Eagles, Warsaw Moose Lodge and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed singing – including participating in Karaoke.
Family survivors include 2 sons: John Rhoads, Mentone, Indiana and Joe L. Rhoads of Silver Lake, Indiana; daughter: Sandra Williams, Silver Lake; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Raymond and Jeanne Gibbs of Ft. Senea, Ohio; Dale Gibbs of Lima, Ohio; Thomas and Esther Gibbs, Warsaw; and David and Nina Gibbs of Republic, Ohio; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Penny and Larry Feucht of Clyde, Ohio and Diane and John Murray of Grand Prairie, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and her companion: Otto Burchett of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories in support of each other Friday, November 21st from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
A service celebrating Alice’s life will take place Saturday afternoon, November 22nd beginning at 1:30 PM in the funeral home. Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten of Mentone United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Alice’s memory be given to K-21 Foundation - Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1810 or American Heart Foundation, 31822 Village Center Road – Suite 208, Westlake Village, California 91361.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege to care for the family and friends of Alice Coralie Rhoads.
