Amanda Kristine Huey, age 33 and a lifetime resident of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, March 27th in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Her passing at 6:45 p.m. was from complications of a sudden stroke which she suffered earlier in the week.
Amanda was born to Charles “Chuck” Huey and Verdonna (Bowser) Huey on June 20, 1985 in Parkview Whitley Hospital. She was a 2003 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and went on to study business administration and marketing at Ivy Tech.
A trusting, loving woman with a bright personality, Amanda was very giving. She was fun-loving and enjoyed all kinds of music, especially modern country. She had an amazing, intense sense of humor and was a lover of animals and dogs, especially dachshunds. She was known for her spunky, sassy personality and for her ability to bring a smile to the face of nearly anyone.
Amanda was gregarious and loved time spent with her nieces and family. She rarely knew a stranger and was sure help someone in need. Her spirited, playful way will be truly missed by many including mother, Verdonna (Don Yakimicki) Huey of Hoffman Lake; father, Chuck Huey of Warsaw; sister, Niki (Billy) Bowser-Gibson of Warsaw; two nieces, Kaitlyn Bowser-Gibson and Olivia Bowser-Gibson; nephew, James Gibson; great-nephew Grayson Bowser-Gibson and great-niece, Saphira Miller. She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 3 p.m. at New Life Christian Church, 744 South 325 East, Warsaw. Gathering will be for one hour prior, beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor Debbie Lowe will officiate the service.
