Annie R. Ryan of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2016 at 11:55 a.m. in the healthcare unit of Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. Annie was 99 years young.
The daughter of William Ellis and Leila Virginia (Thompson) Jones, Annie was born in Eccles, West Virginia on July 13, 1917.
She and Rev. J. Leroy Anderson were joined in marriage until his death. Then she and Ben H. Ryan would marry. He also would precede her in death.
Living most of her life in Warsaw, she was the house keeper for James and Ruth Thomas, Brooks and Nancy Dalton and Frank and Irene Saeman. She retired in 1987.
Annie was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw. She was on the board of Directors of the Senior Citizens Council. And she loved to read and garden.
Those who survived are her daughter: Priscilla Woods, Warsaw; son and daughter-in-law: Jimmy and Elizabeth Anderson of Tucson, Arizona; great grandson: T. Christopher Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandson-in-law: Stanley Stutzman, Warsaw; 3 great, great grandchildren: Myles C. Anderson, Honolulu; Makena R. Anderson, Honolulu; and Mila G. Anderson, Honolulu; step-daughter, Karen (and husband, Albert) Coleman, Roanoke, Virginia; step-son, Eugene (and wife, Belinda) Anderson of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Preceding Annie in death is her sister: Wilma L. Coleman (July 2, 1994), brother: Mike W. Jones (May 24, 2003), and granddaughter: Janet Stutzman (October 7, 2003).
Friends may join the family Monday, August 8th from 11 AM to until 12 Noon for a time of sharing memories with the family. Then beginning at 12:00 Noon a service celebrating Annie’s life take place with Pastor Steve Rahn officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
