Anthony "Tony" Dragan passed away peacefully at home on Lake Webster on October 15, 2024, at the age of 78. He had battled several health issues over the years and was a true fighter. Born on August 6, 1946 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was the son of Frank and Jean Dragan. Tony dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his community and his country.
Tony had a varied and fulfilling career and was a hard worker. He primarily worked as an electrician. He was involved in numerous industries but truly thrived in new construction, especially on large church build sites, where his skills and dedication were evident. In addition to his work as an electrician, Tony served proudly as a firefighter/paramedic for a time, reflecting his commitment to helping others and community service.
A proud veteran of the US Navy, Tony was honorably discharged after serving in several capacities serving mostly on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42. The memories he shared were of his time spent in the boiler room, working hard alongside his fellow sailors. He is remembered for his Navy Vietnam Veteran Ball Cap (of which he had worn through several). They were his symbol of his service through the years.
Tony was known for his good sense of humor and a hint of stubbornness that defined his personality. While he could present a tough exterior, those who knew him understood that he had a soft heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Connie Dragan; his daughter, Kelly (Vince) Early; his sons, Anthony Dragan and David Dragan; and his stepdaughter, Molly (Jeffrey) Hunter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jean Dragan and his brother, Frank Jr.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with care of Anthony Dragan. The family is grieving privately; no services will be held.
