Arden E. “Punk” Grow, 66, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 12:40 PM in his Claypool, Indiana home.
Born to Elbert and Dorothy (McGinnis) Grow on December 16, 1947, he was a 1966 graduate of Claypool High School.
He served his country with United States Army being inducted January 9, 1968. SP4 Arden E. Grow was honorably discharged December 13, 1969.
On January 1, 2003, Punk and Laura L. O’Connell were married in Claypool.
This lifetime Kosciusko County resident was employed by Spartech Industries for 40 years. In 2006 he retired as a Lab Assistant.
Punk was a member of the American Legion Post #49. He loved playing cards, ping pong, pool, shuffle board, gardening and spending time with his family.
Punk will be missed by all who knew him as friend but especially those who loved him as family including his wife, Laura; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Stacy and Joe Halterman of Rochester, Indiana; and Tracy and Brian Julian of Claypool; a son and daughter -in-law: Lamoine and Amber Grow, Winona Lake, Indiana; 2 step sons: Michael O’Connell and Ross Patrick - both of Warsaw, Indiana; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; brother: Steve Grow of Mentone, Indiana; and 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Brenda and Russell Brown, Claypool; and Jenny and Mike Dawson of Atwood, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father: Elbert Grow (June 30, 1995) and mother: Dorothy Grow (March 9, 2014).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Friday, April 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Arden E. “Punk” Grow will take place Saturday, April 26th at 2 o’clock in the funeral home. Pastor Alfredo Lozano will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, at a later date.
The family has asked that gifts in Punk’s memory be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
