Ardis Haines (Beiswanger)

November 14, 1919 — January 27, 2018

Ardis Iona Haines left her family home in Warsaw and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27th just before 5 p.m. She was 98 years old.
Born in Dwight, Illinois, Ardis was one of four children born to Ralph E. and Delta M. (Thomas) Beiswanger. At the age of five, she and her family moved to Kosciusko County, settling in Milford. She would graduate from Milford High School and was married to Hershell D. Fuller on September 11, 1938. Hershell preceded her in passing in 1966. Blessed to find love twice, Ardis was married to Raymond J. Haines on December 31, 1969 though he too preceded her death in 2006.
A hard-working woman with a true faith in Christ, Ardis worked with her husband in their gravel pit for many years; while officially she was the bookkeeper, she was known to load and deliver sand and stone on her own, too. She was a faithful member of Warsaw Church of God and had attended there since 1938. She enjoyed flower gardening and even worked for the Anderson family in their greenhouse during her mid-70’s. As a gardener she raised prize-winning Pansies; as an Artist she was skilled in sewing, knitting and crochet, even winning Grand Prize at the fair for her Macramé owl project. She loved owls and had a large collection of them. A good cook, a loving mother, and a kind, gentle person, Ardis will be dearly missed.
Those left to treasure her memory include son, Rodney (wife, Connie) Fuller and step-daughter, Jeannie (husband, Tom) Edgar all of Warsaw; four grandsons: Brian (wife, Linda) Fuller of Warsaw, Patrick (wife, Theresa) Fuller of Warsaw, Rodney Fuller, Jr. of Nappanee, and Tom Edgar, Jr. of Warsaw; granddaughter, Susie (husband, Don) Wilczak of Warsaw and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, Hershell and 2nd husband, Raymond, Ardis was preceded in death by her two sisters, Aletha Johnston and Nelda Thompson; her brother, Lloyd Beiswanger and step-daughter, Margene Clase.
A funeral which celebrates Ardis’ life will take place at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw on Wednesday, January 31 at 1 p.m. Friends may gather for a time of visitation for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jerry Yoder (retired) and Reverend William Whitaker will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home has been trusted with the care of Ardis Iona Haines.
