Arloa B. Kurosky, 86, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 10:08 PM in her Warsaw, Indiana home.
Arloa was born March 24, 1929 in Hastings, Michigan to Glenn M. and Ethyl O. (Stewart) Smith. She was a 1947 graduate of Ionia High School, Ionia, Michigan.
On June 10, 1950 in Ionia, she and William Kurosky were joined in marriage.
Arloa was the office manager for Walmer Supply for 39 years until her retirement in 2006.
A member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, she belonged to W.O.W. and was a member of its steering committee. Arloa was a docent for the Kosciusko County Historical Society Jail Museum and also volunteered as a tutor at Lincoln and Washington Elementary Schools. She was a member of The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. Arloa enjoyed watching her grandchildren as they participated in sporting events. She loved her cat, Ginger, and loved playing bridge and golf and had made a hole in one at Rozella Ford Golf Club.
Arloa is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and William Bundy of Panama City, Florida; son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Kathrine Kurosky of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and her sister: Dorothy Roth of Ionia.
Her husband, William Kurosky preceded her in death February 28, 1982. She was also preceded by her brother: Glen Smith in 2008.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing Thursday, May 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating the life of Arloa B. Kurosky will take place Friday, May 15th beginning at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Erik Ohman of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
