Austin D. Hauth, 85 passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 11:04 a.m. in Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw, Indiana.
Austin, son of Roy E. and Thelma M. (Dunn) Hauth, Sr. was born May 7, 1931 in Warsaw. He was a 1951 graduate of Warsaw High School. On October 3, 1954, he took Patty J. Gordon to be his wife. They would share 62 years together.
Austin was a tool and die maker for White Metal Rolling and Stamping Corporation for 28 years.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors where he gardened, rode his bike and fished when he could. Watching old westerns was a favorite pastime. He was MSgt in Warsaw’s National Guard unit from 1950 - 1954.
Survivors include: his wife: Patty J. Hauth, Warsaw; daughter and son-in-law: Susan "Sue" (Michael) Zellers of Warsaw; 2 grandchildren: Matthew Zellers of Warsaw; and Jennifer Zellers of Vandalia, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law: Roy F. and Joellen Hauth, Jr., Winona Lake, Indiana; sister: Ruth Ann Neff, Indianapolis, Indiana; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Austin was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Thelma Hauth, Sr.; 5 brothers: Ernest Hauth (September 22, 2013), Ralph Hauth (September 8, 2008), George Hauth (March 22, 1983), William Hauth (August 14, 1957), and infant John Hauth; and a sister: Margaret Ann Taylor (September 3, 1999).
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with a private family graveside service.
