Barbara Weirick (Hudson)

Barbara J. Weirick, 88, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:25 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Barb was born August 20, 1925 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Victor and Mary E. (Lichtenwalter) Hudson. She was a 1943 graduate of Warsaw High School. Barb and Max Weirick were joined in marriage June 18, 1946 in Warsaw. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1997.
Barb was a legal secretary for Rockhill, Kennedy and Pinnick, Warsaw. She was a member of Warsaw’s Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Moose Auxiliary and Lambda Chi Omega. She was an avid card player. Barb loved her friends and family - especially her grandchildren. At 8 weeks old Barb was voted Battle Creek’s Prize Baby at the Calhoun County Fair in Marshall because she was the most perfect baby under the age of one.
Those left with memories to treasure in their hearts is daughter: Elaine Tripp, Warsaw; 2 grandsons: Steven “Sean” Tripp, Leesburg, Indiana and C. Gavin Tripp, Warsaw; granddaughter: Jennifer Lichtenberger, Warsaw: 3 grandchildren: Sara Nicole Tripp, Janelle Hall and Nicolas Hall - all of Warsaw.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband is daughter, Bonnie Lichtenberger (May 9, 1971), son: Max M. Weirick (September 11, 1985) and her sister: Tommie West.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Thursday, October 3rd from 10 AM - 12 noon at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A memorial service celebrating Barb’s life will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home. Pastor David Hummel of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Barb’s memory be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 832 E. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege and a special honor to care for the family and friends of Barbara J. Weirick.
