Barbara Ann Kotas (nee Podsiadly) died on December 7, 2021 at 77 years of age. She was born in Detroit Michigan on Feb 24, 1944.
Barbara moved to Warsaw, IN 6 years ago and had never been happier. Barbara enjoyed fishing from her backyard, attending plays at the local theater, spending time with family and friends, and playing games on her tablet.
Barbara was married on Feb 1, 1969 to Gilbert Kotas and lived in Northwest Indiana for over 40 years. She was a realtor when her daughter Lisa was young, so she could be available when Lisa got home from school. Barb went into bookkeeping after that, and continued in that occupation until she retired. Barb crocheted, did ceramics with a lot of great lady friends, she painted, and loved photography (especially black and white photos).
She loved life and tried to find the best in every situation. She was generous, kind, creative and always had a smile for you. Barb loved to travel and see new things. She enjoyed a good crab leg feast and favored a cosmo on the rocks. Barb will be remembered by many people because of her friendly and caring personality.
Barbara is survived by her daughter and 2 brothers. And also, by her furry companions Toby, Rambler, Una, and Tinkerbell.
A private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw and a celebration of life will take place in the spring of 2022.
Great love brings great sorrow, and that’s why Barbara will be deeply missed by many.
