Barbara E. "Barb" Edwards

Barbara E. “Barb” Edwards, 75, of North Webster, IN passed away at 12:29 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born on July 21, 1942 in Anderson, IN to Roxford Fleming & Mary Jane (Layton) Arford.
She graduated in 1960 from Middletown High School in Middletown, IN, attended Ball State University in Muncie, and lived most of her life in the Middletown / Anderson area before moving to North Webster in 1986. She was married on June 25, 1961 in Middletown, IN to David C. “Dave” Edwards who survives. She was formerly employed at JC Penney in Anderson, Anderson Community Schools as a secretary for 10 years, and was a clerk for Farmers Home Administration in Warsaw for 17 years.
She formerly attended the United Methodist Church in Middletown & United Methodist Church in North Webster. She was the former president of the PTA at Columbia Grade School in Anderson and served on the board as president and treasurer of the Webster Lake Conservation Association for 15 years. She loved spending time at the happiest place on earth. She took pleasure in planning for Christmas and enjoyed being at the lake with family, friends, and her beloved dog, Minnie.

Daughter – Joyce Elaine (Steve) Staub of Fishers
Son in Law – Greg Wilson of Pendleton, IN
4 Grandchildren – Sarah (Nick) Cox, Joshua (Janae) Wilson, Steven Staub, and Alec Staub
Sister – Lucinda Jane (Darrell) Tibbett of Anderson
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 daughters – Mary Ellen Wilson & Christine Alisse Edwards.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017 in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
