Beatrice Marlene “Bea” Eppert, 77 of Syracuse, IN passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on September 20, 1935 in Goshen, IN to Charles Howard & Emma Laverne (Bailey) Johnson.
She was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Warsaw High School. On July 4, 1966 in Rome City, IN she married Earl Eppert who preceded her in 1992. She was a retired as a nurse’s aide from Avalon Village in Ligonier after several years of service. She was a member of Benton Free Baptist Church and Eagles Aerie 3760 in Syracuse.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters - Mrs. Scott (Connie Sue) Amsden of Milford & Mrs. Roger (Melinda Lou) Cannon of Syracuse
2 Sons – Leonard Allen (wife, Cindy) of Vandalia, MI & Steven “Mike” (wife, Peggy) Eppert of Syracuse
12 Grand, 22 Gt. Grand, & 2 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Betty (Dale) Clouse of Albion
4 Brothers – Delbert (wife, Shirley) Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Roger (wife, Connie) Johnson all of Albion, & Harold (wife, Shirley) Johnson of Avilla
She is preceded by her parents, husband, daughter – Rebecca Bills, granddaughter – Michelle Eppert, & grandson – Samuel Cannon, 2 sisters – Loretta Clark & Lottie Ley, 2 brothers – Jack Johnson & Wesley Johnson.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Lenny Krebs of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
