Berl Greene, 79, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 1:49 AM in his Ridgeville Corners, Ohio home.
One of twelve children, Berl was born January 22, 1935 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to James and Girley (Music) Greene.
On October 17, 1987 he and Jane Kryder were married in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She survives.
Formerly of the Warsaw and Pierceton Indiana areas, Berl was employed by B.F. Goodrich for 23 years and retired in 1991 as a maintenance supervisor.
He attended Pettisville Missionary Church in Pettisville, Ohio.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Dean and Geretta Greene of Leesburg, Indiana and James and Leslie Greene of Bristol, Illinois; 3 step sons and their wives: Michael and Kathy Wachtmann of Rochester, Indiana; Daniel and Deb Wachtmann of Napoleon, Ohio; and Jeff and Jonel Wachtmann of Tumwater, Washington; 2 step daughters: Lori Wachtmann of Fort Wayne and Susan and her husband, Jeff, Benson, Napoleon; 3 grandchildren; 16 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters-in-law: James E. and Betty Greene, Newport, Indiana; Gerald Greene, Warsaw; Tom and Virginia Greene, Julian and Penny Greene, Floyd and Betty Greene, and Harold and Janet Greene – all of Prestonsburg; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law: Wanda Hamilton, Somerset, Kentucky; Pat and Dick Sampson, Auburn, Alabama; Regina and Don Fry, Warsaw; and Phyllis Hackworth of Chicopee, Massachusetts. Berl was preceded in death by a sister: Juanita Meadows.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing memories in support of each other Saturday, December 27th from 10-11 AM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. There will be a private family graveside service in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Pastor Kent Norr of Pettisville Missionary Church will officiate.
