Betty J. Baugher passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 9:20 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Warsaw, Indiana. She was 82.
The daughter of Judson L. and Jettie (Thompson) Vanator, Betty was born November 15, 1934 in Warsaw. She was a 1953 graduate of Warsaw High School. Also in Warsaw and on May 28, 1954 she and Forrest “Bud” Baugher were joined in holy matrimony. They would share 53 years together until his passing on March 13, 2008.
As a lifetime Warsaw resident Betty was employed by Depuy in the accounts payable department for 19 years. Prior to Depuy, she also had worked for Miller and Sons in Silver Lake.
Betty loved going for walks. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds. She also enjoyed bowling and taking pictures of her family. Betty and Bud loved to travel. In earlier years, the family would enjoy camping. Betty loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Deb (and husband, Randy) Miller of Winona Lake, Indiana; Linda (and husband, Kim) Warsaw, Indiana; and Pam Skinner of Mancos, Colorado; 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Eric (and Bethany) Miller of Frederick, Maryland; Lynnae Miller, Syracuse, Indiana; Krysta Miller, Winona Lake; Rob (and Charlotte) Grindle, Warsaw; and Lisa (and Blaine) Goon, Warsaw. Also surviving are 6 step grandchildren and their spouses: Racquel Tucker, Tabitha Tucker and Ryan Tucker – all of Warsaw; Robin Willoya of Butte, Alaska; Nathen (and Amanda) Skinner and Adam (and Tyana) Skinner – all of Kalama, Washington; 3 great grandchildren: Emily, Karter and Cohen, at home; 2 sisters: Sue Bolinger, Warsaw, and Peggy (and Gene) Myers of Royal, Arkansas.
In addition to her husband, Bud, also preceding her passing is a son-in-law: Ron Skinner (February 13, 2016).
Family will receive friends Thursday, February 9th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Betty J. Baugher will take place Friday morning beginning at 11:00. Pastor Gary Boschain of First Christian Church, Warsaw, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
