Betty A. Bear, 88, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 7:50 PM
at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana.
Betty was born April 15, 1927 in Mentone, Indiana to Glen and Ethel (Ward) Snyder. She was a 1945 graduate of Mentone High School (Mentone, Indiana).
Betty had been a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 22 years. She retired in 2000.
She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and was a member of the First Christian Church in Warsaw. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked animals.
Survivors include her daughter: Patricia Cole of Winona Lake, Indiana, her pet dog: Boogs, her beloved yorkie who was her buddy and literally her caregiver; and her pet cat: Cookie.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Merrill Bear (February 15, 2005) and her sister: Phyllis Snyder.
Friends may join the family for a time of sharing Friday, December 18th from 10 AM – 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
A service celebrating Betty’s life will follow beginning at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Pastor Gary Boschain of the First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Mentone Cemetery.
The family has asked that gifts in Betty’s memory be directed to either Seasons Home Care, 1101 Husky Trail, Warsaw, Indiana 46582 or Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana 46617.
