Betty Coldren (Cook)

Betty B. Coldren passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 just after midnight in her Brooksville, Florida home. She was 89.
Betty was born April 2, 1927 in Fulton, Indiana. She was a graduate of Fulton High School.
She and Keith Coldren married January 1, 1994 in North Manchester, Indiana. He would precede her in death on March 1, 2002.
Betty was a cook for Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana along with a number of area nursing homes.
A long-time resident of Warsaw, Betty moved to Florida in 2011 to live with her daughter, Linda.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Moose Lodge – both in North Manchester. She liked to garden – especially in her immaculate flower gardens. She enjoyed crocheting and loved cats. Most of all she was a caring mother who loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Tina Ervin of Milford, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law: Linda Hampton-Campbell and Dallas Campbell of Brooksville; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law: James (and Dot) Cook of Kimmell, Indiana; Howard (and Carolyn) Cook, Rochester, Indiana; and George Cook of New Haven, Indiana; 4 sisters: Barbara Hudson of Claypool, Indiana; Anette Georg of O’Fallon, Missouri; Ann (and Roscoe) Goings, South Whitley, Indiana; Jane (and Gary) Champ, Fulton; 12 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 9 great, great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her passing in addition to her husband were 2 brothers: O. Arthur Cook and AJ Cook; and 2 sisters: Estella Eads and Phyllis Rautenkranz.
Family and friends will gather to share memories in support of one another Friday, July 22nd from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. Then beginning at 12:30 a service celebrating Betty’s life will continue in the funeral home. Pastor Ralph Johnson (Betty’s grandson-in-law) will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
The family has asked that gifts in Betty’s memory be directed to HPH Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, Florida 34667.
