Betty G. Hansen, 80, of Columbia City, IN (formerly of Warsaw, IN) passed away at 9:47 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN as the result of an automobile accident on Tuesday. She was born on March 31, 1936 in Oak Lawn, IL to Richard Earl & Elsie Mae (Gardner) Brady.

She attended public Schools in Lemont, IL and on December 18, 1984 in Oak Lawn, IL she married Daniel L. Hansen who preceded her on December 23, 1986. She formerly worked as a truck driver for the Utah State Prison for 8 years and Hehr International in Plymouth for 8 years. She moved to the Warsaw area in 2008 from Utah and then moved to Columbia City in 2015.

She formerly attended the United Methodist Church in Illinois.

She is survived by:

10 Grandchildren

Step Sister – Virginia (Leo) Warnick of American Fork, UT

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sons – Johnny, Daniel, and Steven Hansen, 3 sisters – Lois Jessie, Marjorie Rice, and Bernice Froedge, 5 brothers – Arley, Leroy, Virgil, Harold, and twin - Bill Brady, and step sister – Charlotte Dade.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. Private family burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery in Knox, IN. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial bequest may be given to donor’s choice.
