Betty J. Graff

Betty J. Graff, 81, of Goshen, IN passed away at 9:22 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home. She was born on April 8, 1937 in Hopkinsville, KY to Ernest J. & Mamie Gertrude (Morris) Orten.

She attended Hopkinsville, KY schools and was married on June 25, 1955 in Hopkinsville, KY to George E. Graff who preceded her on November 10, 2003. She grew up in Kentucky and lived most of her life in the Syracuse / Goshen area. She was a homemaker, formerly worked for the Syracuse Senior Center, and was a foster parent for many years.

She is a member of the Grace Bible Baptist Church in New Paris.

She is survived by:

Son – Fred Graff of Goshen

3 Grandchildren – Lakin Graff, Paige Graff, and Brittanie Medlen

3 Gt. Grandchildren – Dylan, Tyler, and Rylie

Sister – Dorothy Gilkey of Syracuse

Brother – Wayne (Mim) Orten of Syracuse

Half Brother - Timothy Orten of Hopkinsville, KY

She was preceded in death by her husband, step mother – Arlene Orten, sister – Beatrice, and 2 brothers – Jerry & Harold.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the funeral home with Pastor Joel Wallenbeck officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
