Betty J. Minnick, 83, of Ligonier, IN (formerly of North Webster & Syracuse) passed away at 2:24 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on October 10, 1928 in Larwill, IN to Cecil H. & Rachel Ann (Friend) Paulus.
She graduated in 1946 from North Webster High School and was a lifetime area resident of Kosciusko & Noble counties. She was married on November 23, 1946 in North Webster to Harry E. Minnick Jr. who survives. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Monsanto in Ligonier; Rinker’s Dept. Store in North Webster; Whitley Products in Pierceton; & Blue Bell in Columbia City. She was a former member of the Pythian Sisters Lodge in North Webster.
She is survived by:

1 Daughter – Suzanne Shock of Ligonier
3 Sons – Mike (wife, Lori) Minnick of Ligonier; Matt (wife, Kristi) Minnick of Sarasota, FL; & Marshall (wife, Linda) Minnick of Syracuse
12 Grand, 17 Gt. Grand & 2 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
1 Brother – Cecil (wife, Doris) Paulus of Leesburg
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sons – Mark Minnick and infant twins & brother – Eugene Paulus.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 in the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition) with Pastor Steve Leinbach of the Believers Fellowship Church in Middlebury officiating.
Memorial bequest may be given to American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
