Betty J. Mock

Betty J. Mock, 87, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her home. She was born on October 1, 1931 in Frankton, IN to Frank & Bessie (Allender) Bowers.

She graduated in 1949 from Frankton High School and attended Indiana Business College in Anderson, IN. She was married on September 25, 1953 in Anderson, IN to Lawrence “Larry” Mock who survives. She retired from Anderson Loan Association after 30 years and had summered in the Syracuse area for many years before moving there permanently in 1993 from Anderson.

She was a member of the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse.

She is survived by:

Husband – Larry Mock of Syracuse

Son – David (Erin) Mock of Indianapolis

4 Grand & 6 Gt. Grandchildren

Sister – Marilyn Davis of Frankton

Daughter in law – Darcy (Dennis) Hively of Syracuse

She was preceded in death by her parents, son - Dennis Mock, and brother – Joseph Bowers.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Fr. Andrew Nazareth of the church officiating. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
