Betty Jane Pemberton

Betty Jane Pemberton, 87, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 12:30 p.m. on August 17, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on April 12, 1927 in Winamac, IN to Harvey & Dora (Hall) Yockey.

She graduated from Hammond High School in Hammond, IN and was married to William Harley Pemberton who preceded her August 20, 1993. She was a homemaker and previously worked at Rand McNally in northwest, IN and Amoco Refinery in Whiting, IN. She had lived previously in the Merrillville and Hammond areas before moving to Leesburg on October 20, 2007.

She is survived by:
2 Daughters - Ula (Rick) Gallegos of Lowell, IN & Debra Scott of Hessville, IN
2 Sons – William Harley Pemberton III & David N. Pemberton both of Leesburg
5 Grand & several Great Grandchildren
Sister – Rosella Benham of La Plata, MO

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter – Susan (Anderson) Manns, granddaughter – Saundra Gallegos, and several brothers & sisters.

No public services are planned at this time.
