Betty L. Kruger - Howe, 94, of Cromwell, IN (formerly of North Webster, IN) passed away at 12:33 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her home. She was born on July 14, 1920 in Kokomo, IN to William Roscoe and Mary Alice (Underwood) Barker.
She moved to the Pierceton, IN area in 1927 from Kokomo, graduated in 1938 from Pierceton High School, and later graduated from Ravenscroft Beauty School in Fort Wayne. She was married on September 26, 1940 in Marion, IN to Loren T. Kruger who preceded her in death on August 19, 1990 and on July 14, 2007 in Pierceton she married Maurice J. Howe who preceded her on September 19, 2007. She was a retired beautician and formerly worked for Nestle’s Beauty Shop, Gerard’s Beauty Shop, & Princess Parlor all of North Webster.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Webster and was past president, charter & life member of American Legion Auxiliary #253. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Syracuse & Lambda Chi Omega. She was a musician with the Mock Twins Band, Dancing Grannies, and many other area music groups. She played the piano for the Yellow Banks Hotel for over 50 years, and on WRSW Radio as part of the 1st sponsored radio group.

Sister- Rosemary Parsons of Warsaw, IN
She was preceded by her parents, both husbands, and grandson – Kris Kruger.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N in North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Byron Kaiser of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
