Billy D. Horn, 77, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 7:05 AM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Billy was born August 10, 1937 in Mentone, Indiana to Dwayne and Maxine (Wideman) Horn.
He served with the United States Navy during the Korean War.
Billy took Patricia A. Fancil to be his wife. She would precede him in death.
In 1987 he retired from Gladieux Refinery (New Haven, Indiana) as a diesel mechanic after 27 years of service.
Survivors include a son: Billy Horn, Jr. of Columbia City, Indiana; 4 daughters and sons-in-law: Kim and Robert Sweet, Columbia City; Chris and Howie Welch of Columbia City; Sonia and Chris Welch of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Deana and Sean Roof, Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren (with 4 on the way); 5 sisters and a brother-in-law: Sharon Miller, Lynde and Larry Yeiter, Judy Robinson and Luann Horn – all of Warsaw.
Preceding Billy in death in addition to his wife is brother: Larry G. Horn, 2 sons: Rocky Horn and Maurice Horn, and daughter, Cynthia Horn.
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Wednesday, August 27th from 10 AM – 12 Noon at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating the life of Billy D. Horn will follow beginning at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Pastor Tim Kumber of Warsaw Church of God will officiate. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Billy’s memory be given to a charity of choice or simple acts of kindness may be done for others in Billy’s memory.
