Bobbie J. Scott

Bobbie June (Boyd) Scott, 81, long-time resident of North Webster, IN passed away on June 5, 2015 in I.U. Goshen Hospital after an illness. She was born September 29, 1933 to Thomas Franklin and Nora (Warden) Boyd in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
She lived in Oklahoma and New Mexico before joining the U.S. Army in 1954. Shortly after her discharge, she met and married James W. “Jim” Scott in Fort Wayne on June 29, 1957, where they lived briefly before moving to North Webster. She worked in banking in Fort Wayne, Pierceton and North Webster. Later in life, she worked for Helvey and Associates in Warsaw. She was a member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.
She is survived by her sons: Mark (Donna) Scott of Syracuse, Brian Scott of North Webster and her beloved cat Tut as well as many friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Scott in 1977 and an infant daughter Jo Ellen, her parents; brothers: M.F., Guy, Pete and Carl; her sisters: Dale, Hariell and Mona.
She was a fun loving, adventurous, independent sprit with a great sense of humor and was known for striking up a conversation with anyone, any place and at any time. She was most thankful for all of her friends that would stop by to visit, go out to eat or accompany her on whatever daily adventure she could think of. Finally, she would like to share her daily prayer, a piece of advice we might all heed, "Thank you Lord for giving me another day and please don't let me screw it up."
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster from 5 pm to 8 pm. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County in Warsaw, IN. Private burial will take place on Wednesday June 17, 2015 in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery with military honors by the North Webster American Legion.
