Bonita R. “Bonnie” Geiger, 90, of North Webster, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at her home. She was born on January 22, 1929 in Kimmell, IN to Lawrence L. & Lura L. (Steller) McLallin.
She graduated in 1947 from Cromwell High School in Cromwell, IN and attended Wayne University School of Beauty Culture in Fort Wayne, IN. She was married on September 12, 1948 in Kimmell, IN to JD Geiger who preceded her on August 14, 2012. She was a homemaker and formerly owned & operated Bonnie’s Beauty Shop in North Webster for 7 years. She also formerly worked at Thornburg Drugs in North Webster, license branch in Syracuse & Warsaw for 11 years, and the Kosciusko County Treasurer's office for 12 years.
She was a lifetime Noble & Kosciusko County area resident and wintered for 12 years in Florida. She grew up in the Sparta Christian Church in Kimmell and then attended the United Methodist Church and the Church of the Brethren in North Webster.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters – Dawn Fisher of Largo, FL & Jill (Dean) Miner of Warsaw
Son – Brian Geiger of Warsaw
4 Grandchildren – Andy (Katie) Miner, Chad Fisher, Heather (Daniel) Kimbley & Brandon (Megan) Geiger
Step Grandson – Tony (Cathy) Miner
7 Gt. Grandchildren – Connor, Emily, Dawson, Adam, Ava, Ethan, & Madeline
6 Step Gt. Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter – Tamara Ridgway, sister – Joan Spencer, and 3 brothers – Justin, Gerald, and Kenneth “Lindy” McLallin.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. Private graveside burial will take place in the Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN with Pastor Robert Wyman officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN.
