With her family by her side, Bonnie H. Gragg, 97, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 3:37 PM in her Warsaw, Indiana home.
Bonnie was born October 24, 1917 in Mentone, Indiana to Mervel and Ruth (Schweitzer) Smith.
She and Kenneth Gragg were joined in marriage on May 20, 1933 in Etna Green, Indiana. They would share 81 years together until his home going on September 8, 2014. She now has joined him for eternity.
A lifetime Kosciusko County homemaker, Bonnie was a faithful 50 year plus member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She lived out her faith daily. Bonnie enjoyed gardening and painting ceramics. For 20 years she and Kenny enjoyed wintering in Fort Meyers and Arcadia, Florida. Bonnie was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother and was very proud of her family.
Those left with many beautiful memories to treasure are daughter and son-in-law: Joann and Merl Heckaman, Warsaw; son and daughter-in-law: Don and Diana Gragg of Sturgis, Michigan; 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Jay and Sharon Heckaman, Silver Lake, Indiana; Kay and Robert Ruggier, Warsaw; Eric and Nicole Heckaman, Warsaw; Tim and Noel Heckaman, Claypool, Indiana; and Tona Molebash, Bremen, Indiana; and a granddaughter-in-law: Julie Heckaman, Claypool. Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; and 4 step great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Heckaman on July 12, 1998, great granddaughter, Josie Heckaman on March 20, 2010 and her brother, Frank Smith on February 5, 2001.
Family and friends will come together to share memories Saturday, February 28th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 4650. A service celebrating Bonnie’s life will follow beginning at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Dave Hummel of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Bonnie’s memory be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, 832 E. Center Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
