Bonnie J. Richardson, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 11:17 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
On April 6, 1935 Bonnie was born in Fulton, Indiana to Floyd and Orpha (Abbott) Overmyer. She and Ernest “Orville” Richardson were joined in marriage November 15, 1953 in Warsaw, Indiana where she lived most of her life.
Bonnie was employed by Kimble Glass. She also was a distributor of Viviane Woodard Cosmetics. After attending Raven-Croft Beauty College she became a licensed manicurist. Bonnie was the originator of the Warsaw Girls Club and was its director for many years. She also was a study hall monitor at the Warsaw Freshman High School.
Bonnie was a member of LifeChurchTV.com. She never met a stranger. Bonnie was truly a loving mother who prayed for her family and always reminded them of how blessed they are.
Those who hold dearly treasured memories are her husband of 60 years, Ernest “Orville” Richardson, Warsaw; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Robert Wehrly, Warsaw; and Cynthia and Robert Edinger of Hoytville, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Ronald Overmyer and Doug Overmyer, both of Warsaw; sister-in-law: Betty Overmyer; and brother-in-law: Robert Walters. She was preceded in death by a brother, Forrest Overmyer and a sister, Patricia Walters.
There will be no visitation. A celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place at a later date.
The family has asked that gifts in memory of Bonnie be directed to Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana 46617.
