Brenda J. Brown

Brenda Brown, of Akron, Indiana, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born on June 4, 1955, in Warsaw, to the late Elbert and Dorothy Grow (McGinnis).

On February 15, 1986, she married Russell Brown Sr., who survives. Brenda is also survived by her three children, Misty (Shane) Brown of Warsaw, Clayton (Dana) Slone of Silver Lake, and Russell (Jennifer) Brown Jr. of Valparaiso. Also surviving are her African Gray parrot, Bozie, two daughters she adopted during her beautiful life, Nicole Miller of Claypool and Leslie Lowman of Palestine Lake, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in passing by her parents, sister, Jennifer Dawson, and two brothers, Arden “Punk” Grow and Steven Grow.

In August of 2014, Brenda accepted the Lord into her heart. She was baptized in July of 2015. She was a member of New Vision Church of Warsaw. Brenda will always be remembered for her hard work and dedication. She put her whole heart into any task or job that she worked. Her beautiful smile would brighten any room. She had love for everyone around her, especially her family.

Brenda, outside of work, enjoyed doing puzzles. She glued and framed them and gave the puzzles as gifts to her loved ones. She also loved travelling and cruises, as the outdoors and ocean were her favorite adventures. She loved working in her yard and watching her bunnies, hummingbirds and the butterflies. She also enjoyed having family cook outs and pool parties.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Brenda and her family. Friends may join her family there, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. At 1:00 pm, her husband, Russell, will officiate her Life Celebration® service.
