Mentone

Brenda M. Cody, aged 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 9, 2024, in her home in Mentone. She left behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on April 1, 1951, in Lykens, Pennsylvania, Brenda was the daughter of Russel and Faye Jones (Bettinger). She grew up in the Pennsylvania area and graduated from Williams Valley High School in 1969. She went on to further her education at Grace College in Winona Lake. Brenda dedicated many years of her life to working as an administrative assistant for several places before retiring from Mentone Public Library.

As a caring person and always putting others first, Brenda's warm personality touched the lives of many. She found joy in cherishing the great outdoors - from the mountains to beaches - and especially in her role as "Nana" to her grandchildren. Her proudest accomplishments were her two sons, Brandon and Eric.

Along with her sons, she is survived by her daughters in law, Karissa and Brandy; grandchildren, Trayton, Lylah, Tinley, Charlotte, and Maeve; sister, Sandra (Ron) Hand; brother, Rusty (Beatrice) Jones; and her niece and nephews. She also leaves behind extended family members and many friends who were touched by her genuine warmth. She was preceded in passing by her parents.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with the care of Brenda. Her family is grieving privately, and no public services will be held. To honor Brenda, please consider making a donation to Housin’ Hounds Animal Rescue or to the Mentone Youth League. To leave a condolence, please visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com
