Bruce Niles

Bruce D. Niles, 53, of Milford died unexpectedly at 8:14 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2009 at Goshen General Hospital. He was born on March 18, 1955 in Elkhart, IN to Lester E. & Rosa M. (Smith) Niles.

He has lived most of his life in the Syracuse and Milford area and graduated in 1973 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse. He was married on May 8, 1981 in Milford to Brenda K. Howard who survives.

He was employed at Supreme Corporation in Goshen for 20 years. He was a member of the Milford First Brethren Church and enjoyed photography.

He is survived by:

2 Daughters - Mrs. Michael (Jennifer) Young of Jacksonville, N.C. & Aimee (fiance, Kenny Miller) of Milford
1 Sister - Bonnie L. Huffer of Silver Springs, FL
2 Brothers - Lester W. "Bill" (wife, Paula) Niles of New Haven, IN & Brad L. Niles of Syracuse.

He was preceded by his parents - Lester Niles & Rosa Withey and father in law - Silas Howard

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009 at the First Brethren Church, corner of Henry & Catherine Streets in Milford with Pastor Billy Hesketh of the church officiating. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery.

Memorial bequests may be given to the Milford First Brethren Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
