Buelah Mae Shear, 69, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at her home from lung cancer. She was born on November 29, 1941 in Syracuse to George W. & Hazel (Cowell) Coquillard.
She was a lifetime Syracuse / North Webster area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She was married 52 years ago on November 29, 1958 in Syracuse to Glen W. Shear who survives. She formerly worked for Syracuse Rubber Company for 7 years, Dytronics Factory in Leesburg, KFC in Syracuse, and several area fast food restaurants. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 253 in North Webster and was an avid book reader and enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by:

Daughter – Tracy Johnston of Wakarusa
2 Sons- Tony Shear of New Haven, IN & Tim Shear of Syracuse
6 Grandchildren & 1 Gt. Grandson
3 Sisters – Mrs. Jim (Hazel) Sawyer of Dunlap; Mrs. Don (Jessie) Knafel of Ligonier; & Mrs. Burt (Shirley) Borntrager of Winter Haven, FL
She was preceded by her parents, grandson – Tyce Shear, sister – Thelma Hamood, & 2 brothers – George & Sam Coquillard
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, IN. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition) with Rev. Robert Jarboe, Spiritual Counselor with the Kosciusko Home Care & Hospice.
