Carl D. “Chick” Bradway, 91, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 7:45 PM in his Etna Green, Indiana home.
Chick was born in Harrison Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana on August 14, 1923 to John Ellsworth and Ethel Nellie (Anglin) Bradway. He was a 1941 graduate of Atwood High School, Atwood, Indiana.
He and Gloria “Jean” Beach were joined in marriage May 3, 1941 in Atwood. He was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and was a farmer.
Survivors include Gloria “Jean”, his wife of 73 years; daughter and son-in-law: Dixie and Jim Breading, Warsaw, Indiana; son and daughter-in-law: Tom and Sheri Bradway of Nappanee, Indiana; sister: Julia Ann Schultz, Masa, Arizona; 4 grandchildren and their spouses: Jim and Nicki Breading, Plainfield, Indiana; Carl E. “Chip” and Shelley Bradway of Fishers, Indiana; John Breading and Danna Breading – both of Warsaw; and 6 great grandchildren.
Chick was preceded in death by 2 brothers: James W. Bradway (April 17, 1998) and Ward Bradway (August 16, 2001); grandson: Rod Bradway, September 20, 2013; and granddaughter: DeeAnn Breading (March 31, 1974).
Family and friends will gather for a time to share memories Saturday, November 22nd from 4-7 PM in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A graveside service will take place Sunday, November 23rd at 2 PM in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood. Rev. James A. McKibbin will officiate.
The family has asked that gifts in Chick’s memory be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
