Carl L. Hepler Sr., 82, of Warsaw, IN passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Mason Health & Rehab in Warsaw. He was born on October 10, 1929 in Nappanee, IN to Willard & Anna (Cripe) Hepler.

He was a lifetime Elkhart / Kosciusko County area resident and attended West Millwood & Carris Country School. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War. On September 20, 1953 in Leesburg, IN he married Rebecca L. “Becky” Hawkins who survives. He was a retired farmer, formerly worked at Weatherhead Corp. in Syracuse & was a self employed painter. He was also the former owner / operator of Carl’s Drive Inn in Milford; Dairy Queen in Syracuse & Syracuse Bakery. He attended New Testament Baptist Church in Goshen, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening.

He is survived by:
Wife –Becky Hepler of Warsaw
3 Sons– Carl Jr. (wife, Cathy) Hepler of Warsaw; Phillip Hepler of Larwill & Todd (wife, Vickie) Hepler of Warsaw
4 Grand & 4 Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Mrs. Gene (Anna Lou) Teeter of Warsaw
Brother – Richard “Dick” (wife, Delores) Hepler of Milford

He was preceded in death by his parents & brother – Donnie Hepler

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday July 29, 2012 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster, IN.  Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Sunday with Pastor Michael Aman of the church officiating.

Memorial bequest may be given to the New Testament Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
