Carlotta May Tackett

Carlotta May Tackett, 71, of Claypool, IN passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at her residence. She was born on October 31, 1947 in Warren, IN to Marion Francis & Vivian (McDonald) Flemming Sr.

She grew up in Warren and graduated from Rock Creek High School in Huntington, IN. She was married on July 19, 1969 in Van Buren, IN to Joe Tackett who survives and they moved to Claypool in 1988 from Marion, IN. She was employed as a C.N.A. at the Methodist Home in Warren for 17 years, Mason Home Healthcare in Warsaw for 5+ years, and was a bus driver for Tippecanoe Valley Schools for 23 years.

She is survived by:

Husband – Joe Tackett of Claypool, IN

2 Daughters – Dixie (Timothy) Holloway of Silver Lake and Melissia Tackett of Warsaw

2 Sons – David (Tracy) Tackett of Pickensville, AL and Jobey (Deanna) Tackett of Haubstadt, IN

8 Grand & 1 Gt. Grandchild

6 Sisters – Wanda (Dan) Hinen & Cornelia Johnson both of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary (Steve) Randall, Patty Whitney, Phyllis Herring, & Vianna (Bob) Johnson all of Huntington, IN

2 Brothers – John (Treva) Flemming of Warren, IN and Richard (Ronda) Flemming of Van Buren, IN

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Linda Flemming, and 2 bothers – Marion Francis Flemming Jr. & Terry Flemming.

No public services will be held. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.
