Carol Griffith, 61, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 1:10 PM in her Warsaw, Indiana home.
Carol was born April 14, 1953 in Warsaw to Andrew David and Addie (Blanton) Tackett. She was a lifetime Warsaw resident.
On December 4, 1999 she and Anthony “Tony” Griffith were married in Warsaw.
Carol worked for Dalton Foundries for 17 years and retired in 1995 as a towmotor driver.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, making crafts, painting and crocheting.
Carol’s family who loved her very much are: 3 daughters and a son-in-law: Michelle Hall of Pierceton, Indiana; Stacy and Todd Deeter of Ligonier, Indiana; and Clara Rogers of Milford, Indiana; step son: Shawn Griffith, Pierceton; 5 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law: Mandy Claubaugh of Huntington, Indiana; Faye Brunner, New Palestine, Indiana; Polly and Monroe Allen, Packerton, Indiana; Kathleen and James Griffith, Warsaw; and Geraldine Blair, Warsaw; 3 Brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Ray Tackett of Otway, Ohio; Hargus and Evelyn Tackett, Warsaw and Frank and Beverly Tackett of South Whitley, Indiana; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Preceding Carol in death was her husband, Anthony “Tony” Griffith (November 22, 2004); father, Andrew David Tackett(February 8, 1998); mother: Addie Tackett (February 6, 1987); 3 sisters: Marie Heeter, Martha Shepherd and Pauline Tackett; 3 brothers: Leo Tackett, Harkless Tackett and Charlie Tackett.
Family and friends will come together for a time of sharing and comforting each other Saturday, August 30th from 9:00 – 10:30 AM in TITUS FUNERAL HOME, Warsaw.
A service celebrating Carol’s life will take at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Lewis Quiros of Victory Christian Center in Warsaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
The family has asked that gifts in Carol’s memory be given to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana. 46581-1196.
