Carol O. Thomas, 79, of North Webster, IN passed away at 1:01 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 31, 1931 in Wells Co., IN to Herbert and Arletta (Newcomb) Thomas.
He graduated from Lancaster High School in Bluffton, IN and was a United States Marine Veteran. He was married on January 8, 1972 in Carmel, IN to Betty L. Combs who survives. He retired in 1978 from Briner in Bluffton and was the owner/operator of Thomas Sales & Service in Bluffton. He lived most of his life in Bluffton until moving to the North Webster area in 1979.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster, and the Moose Lodge.

Daughter- Mrs. Donald (Kathleen) Nave of South Whitley, IN
1 Step Son- Michael (wife, Gina) Hollingsworth of North Webster
4 Grand, 4 Gt. Grand, 5 Step Grand, and 3 Step Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, & daughter-Patricia Bradley.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, in North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Military rites will be performed by the North Webster American Legion. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
