Biography
C. Kay Miner, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 5:48 PM in M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.
Born the youngest of three daughters to Duane F. and Maybelle (Edington) Leedy, Kay was born December 27, 1950 in Goshen, Indiana. She was a 1968 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
Kay had been employed as the office assistant for Dr. Richard Carmen (Warsaw) for over 30 years. In 2009 she moved to Florida to be near her sisters. Then in 2013 she made the move to Texas where she would enjoy life closer to her sons and their families.
Kay enjoyed bowling, sewing and being with family and friends.
Taken too soon and too sudden, Kay will be missed by many friends but most of all she will be missed by her family including her 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: Darren and Dawn Miner of Tomball, Texas and Gavin Miner of Austin, Texas; 6 grandchildren: Devan, Anthony, Austin, Joseph, Felda and Ashlyn; great grandson, Kingston; and 2 sisters and a brother-in-law: Linda Doll; and Patricia and Mark Fox - all of Punta Gorda, Florida.
Kay was preceded in death by her father, Duane F. Leedy (December 28, 1984) and mother, Maybelle Medlam (October 22, 2000).
Family and friends will gather for a time of sharing in support of each other Tuesday, February 18th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
A service celebrating Kay's life will take place Wednesday, February 19th beginning at 10 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Larry McCall of Christ's Covenant Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Indiana.
