Carol J. Geiger, 80, of Nappanee, IN (formerly of Milford, IN) passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart, IN. She was born on March 29, 1933 in Nappanee to Charles A. & Wanda E. (Rollins) Weisser.

She lived most of her life in the Milford / Nappanee area and graduated in 1951 from Milford High School. On May 24, 1970 in Milford she married Robert Kaiser who preceded her in June 1980 and then on July 20, 1985 in Nappanee she married Robert E. “Bob” Geiger, who survives. She retired from Milford Family Physicians after 25 years as a receptionist & bookkeeper. She was formerly employed with First National Bank of Warsaw for 13 ½ years.

She was a member of the Living Gospel Church in Nappanee, Wawasee Camp of Gideon’s International Auxiliary in Syracuse and worked with Lakeland Child Evangelism Ministries in Warsaw.

She is survived by:
Husband – Bob Geiger of Nappanee
4 Step- Daughters – Donna Madison of Goshen; Rose (Brock) Rose of Goshen; Amy (Jeff) Martin of Wakarusa, & Jean Miller of Indianapolis
2 Step-Sons – Grant (wife, Karla) Geiger of New Paris & Steven (wife, Joyce) Kaiser of Milford
13 Step Grand & 15 Step Gt. Grandchildren
2 Sisters –LeeAnn (William) Gladieux of Fort Wayne & Joyce (Jim) Warren of Granger

She was preceded by her parents & 1st husband.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May, 25, 2013 at Living Gospel Church, 302 W. Walnut St, Nappanee, IN with Rev. Mike Roasch & Rev. Dave Soliday of the church officiating. Graveside services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Milford Cemetery, CR 60, Milford, IN.

Memorial bequest may be given to Wawasee Camp of the Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 101, Syracuse, IN 46567 or Lakeland Child Evangelism, P.O. Box 612, Winona Lake, IN 46590.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
