Carol J. Myers

Carol J. Myers, 88, of Plymouth, IN, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at We Belong Senior Home in Plymouth, IN. She was born on January 28, 1933 in Highland, IL to Osmar Otto & Pearl (Ulmet) Zilles.

She graduated in 1951 from Highland High School, Illinois State University, and received her Master’s from Indiana University. She was married on November 23, 1953 in Bloomington, IL to Irvin “Grubby” Myers who preceded her in 2006. She taught Physical Education in Greenville, IL and Williams Bay Elementary School in Lake Geneva for 20 years. She grew up in Illinois and lived in Bremen for many years before moving to Plymouth 11 years ago. She formerly lived in Louisiana, Texas, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

She coached basketball in Sterling, IL and was an avid sports enthusiast.

She is survived by:

Daughter – Kim (Steve Christman) Myers of New Paris

Sister – Jacqueline Barth of Highland, IL

Nephews - Jay Barth of WI, Grant Barth of CA, and niece - Harriet Pottast (Barth) of Highland, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN. No services are planned.

Preferred memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
