Carolyn J. Olinger, 81, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at her home. She was born on April 3, 1933 in Fort Wayne to Albert & Irene (Kelley) Loshe.

She grew up in Fort Wayne & attended Catholic Public Schools in Fort Wayne. She retired from ITT Corporation in Fort Wayne as a supervisor after 42 years of service. She also formerly served as the President for the union and moved to the North Webster area 20+ years ago permanently after summering there for many years.

She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church in Pierceton, IN, life member of the American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary in North Webster where she formerly served as an officer and Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter 921 in Warsaw. She formerly attended the St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.

She is survived by:
3 grandchildren – Taber (Ryan Murray) Olinger of Fort Wayne, Jesse Olinger of Orlando, FL and Caleb Cook of Columbia City (currently at Marine boot camp in San Diego, CA)
Daughter in law – Sandra (Randy) Cook of Columbia City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son - Joseph Olinger, sister – Sharon Morel, and 2 brothers – Don & Bob Loshe.

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Church 408 W. Catholic St., Pierceton, IN. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the church with Fr. Charles Herman of the church officiating. An honorary gathering will follow the funeral mass at the American Legion, St. Rd. 13, North Webster, IN, which will include an open invitation to share great experiences and stories of Carolyn. Private burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
