Catharina Julianna Landa

Catharina Julianna Landa, 94, of Goshen, IN passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare in Milford. She was born on June 11, 1924 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands to Johannes & Christina (Van Aken) Overdijk.

She attended public schooling in the Netherlands and was married on March 15, 1948 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands to Wilhelmus A. “Wim” Landa who preceded her on July 30, 2004. She was a homemaker, moved to Elkhart from the Netherlands in 1955 and lived in Sarasota for 16 years before moving back to Goshen.

She was raised in the Catholic faith.

She is survived by:

Son – John F. (Debra) Landa of Syracuse

5 Grandchildren – Bradley (Kady) Landa, Jen Grawcock, Nick Grawcock, Corri Taylor, and Chad Holtzinger

5 Gt. Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters – Marie Kies & Hendrika Muizer (twin), 2 brothers – Dominicus & Tjibbe Jacob Overdijk.

No public services are planned at this time. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN is in charge of arrangements.
