Cecil H. Paulus, 86, of Leesburg, IN passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 25, 1930 in Pierceton, IN to Cecil H. & Rachel Ann (Friend) Paulus.
He grew up in Columbia City and graduated in 1948 from Columbia City High School. He was a United States Navy veteran and lived most of his life in the North Webster / Leesburg area. On December 15, 1951 in North Webster, IN he married Doris J. Gaff who survives. He was the owner / operator of Paulus Plastics & former owner / operator of Paulus Well Drilling in North Webster for 60 years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster, V.F.W Post 985 in Goshen and attended the United Methodist Church in North Webster.
He is survived by:

2 Sons – Chris (Anna) Paulus of Leesburg & Ken (Ellen) Paulus of Leawood, KS
10 Grandchildren – Kristin (Luke) Balcerzak, Kelly (Ryan) Neimier, Katie (Jason Conley) Paulus, Jessica Paulus, Abbi Baum, Kate Paulus, Trevor Paulus, Tommy Paulus, Wade Paulus, and Jeremy Baum
3 Gt. Grandchildren – Aiden, Brooks, and Hudson
He was preceded in death by his parents, son – Steven Paulus, sister – Betty Minnick, and brother – Eugene Paulus.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the funeral home with Pastor Kent Butcher of the Vineyard Community Church &Pastor Brad Cox of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will take place in the North Webster Cemetery with military graveside rites by the North Webster American Legion.
Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster Community Center, P.O. Box 379, North Webster, IN 46555 or Kosciusko Care at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
