Charlene Shrider

Charlene Shrider, 84 of Syracuse, IN passed away at 4:50 a.m. on June 21, 2014 at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse, IN. She was born in Paoli, IN on May 9, 1930, to the late Charles and Edith Beaty Limeberry.

She married Michael Shrider and he preceded her in death in 1976. She retired from NSWC Crane and also CACI in Bloomington, IN. She formerly lived in Paoli, IN; Bedford, IN; & Goshen, IN.

She was a member of the Paoli Friends Meeting, Lost River Chapter# 4052 D.A.R. , & AFGE Local# 1414 Government Employees Union.

She is survived by:
1 daughter - Jill Bowles of Bedford, IN
8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter - Jamie Marshall, grandson Jeremy Daniel Bowles, and sister - Dorothy Baker,

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell St., Paoli, IN. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Bedford, IN following the service.

Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse IN is assisting with local arrangements.
