Charlene M. Stump, 73, of Sarasota, FL (formerly of Syracuse, IN) passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Sarasota. She was born on October 5, 1937 in Goshen, IN to Leonard & Mosclene (Wogoman) Stump.
She grew up in Syracuse and graduated in 1955 from Syracuse High School. She graduated from nursing school in Indianapolis, IN and was formerly employed at Memorial Hospital in South Bend right after college. She moved to Florida many years ago and retired from nursing there. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and formerly attended Calvary United Methodist Church when she lived in Syracuse.
She is survived by:
Mother – Mosclene Stump of Syracuse
Sister – Mrs. Sanford (Nancy) Mullet of Sarasota, FL
1 Niece, 1 Nephew, and several Gt. Nieces & Nephews
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN with Rev. David Herr of the Calvary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Syracuse Cemetery.
