Charles Luckenbill

C. David Luckenbill, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior April 12, 2015 at 1:55 AM in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw, Indiana.
Born December 8, 1940 in Muncie, Indiana, he was the only son born to Lewis Franklin and Helen Hope (Hughey) Luckenbill. He was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School.
David enlisted into the United States Navy in Warsaw on June 30, 1959 and served in the Viet Nam War. HM3 Charles David Luckenbill was honorably discharged through Treasure Island in San Francisco, California.
On August 1, 1964 in Syracuse, Indiana, he and Patricia “Pat” Ginter were joined in marriage.
Dave lived most of his life in Warsaw and was a Design Engineer. He was a member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, where he had been a former deacon.
Left with treasured memories is his wife, Pat Luckenbill, Warsaw; their children: son, Chris Luckenbill of Indianapolis, Indiana and daughter and son-in-law: Lora and Paul Avery of Midland, Michigan; 4 grandchildren: Rob Spaulding, Midland, and Megan (and Alex) Courtney, also of Midland; Avrie Luckenbill and Bailey Luckenbill – both of Indianapolis; 3 great grandchildren: Caleb, Jenica and Danika; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Donna and Kliff Kreicker of Covington, Kentucky and Dorian and Jim Shields of Williamstown, Kentucky.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents: Lewis and Helen Luckenbill.
Friends and family will gather for a time of sharing memories as they support one another Wednesday, April15th from 4-7 PM in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580. A service celebrating David’s life will take place Thursday, April 16th beginning at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Kenneth Hunn, former pastor of First Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, where military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #40 and VFW Post #1126.
The family has asked that gifts given in Dave’s memory be directed to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
The staff of Titus Funeral Home considers it a privilege and an honor to care for the family and friends of C. David Luckenbill.
