Charles W. "Bill" Myers

Charles W. “Bill” Myers, 74, of Syracuse, IN passed away at 3:24 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born on June 16, 1944 in Charleston, W. VA to Emory L. & Zelma M. (Hammack) Myers.

He graduated in 1962 from DuPont High School in Belle, W. VA and formerly attended Big Bottom Baptist Church in Campbells Creek, W. VA. He was married on September 29, 1962 in Ligonier, IN to Vickie L. Fair who preceded him on March 13, 2012. He then remarried on October 25, 2014 in Syracuse, IN to Rita F. (Arnett) Grow who survives.

He grew up in West Virginia until 1962 and then moved to Indiana. He spent most of his life in Noble, Elkhart & Kosciusko Counties of Indiana before moving to Syracuse in 1974 from Goshen. He retired in 2009 from Digger Specialties, Inc. in Bremen, IN after 6 years and formerly worked at Sweet Lix in Syracuse for 19 years.

Wife – Rita Myers of Syracuse

3 Daughters – Tina (Tyson) Barnett of Warsaw, Shelia (Steve) Charlton of Syracuse, and Karen Curry of Syracuse

Stepchildren – Jenny Mignery of Syracuse, Johnny (Elizabeth) Arnett & Daniel Arnett both of Silver Lake

4 Grandchildren – Crystal Lynn Wade, Colette Lynn Myers, William M. Mignery, and Charles Andrew Curry

8 Step Grand, 3 Gt. Grand, and 13 Step Gt. Grandchildren

Brother – Ralph (Angela) Myers of Charleston, W. VA

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Vickie Myers, and 2 Brothers – Darrell & Melvin Myers.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St, Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer of the Church of God in North Webster officiating. Burial will follow services in the Stoney Point Cemetery near Clunette, IN.
