Cheryl Lynn (Flohr) (Johnson) (Miller) Terry, known by most simply as “Sherry”, passed away on Thursday, October 5th at 8:47 AM in Warsaw Meadows Care Center. She was 69 years old at the time of her passing.
Cheryl was born in Rochester, Indiana on August 10,1948 to Russell Flohr and Margaret Elsie (Brooks) Flohr. Raised in the family home, she would eventually graduate from Akron High School.
Cheryl was known for her strong work ethic and made a living doing what she knew best - caring for others. She had worked in home healthcare for many years. She also worked for Grace Village in the dietary department and may be best known for her time spent at Warsaw Community High School as the “lunch lady.” Working in the school was a job she cherished as it gave her the ability to see her grandchildren through the day.
Cheryl loved her family and selflessly loved others, rarely knowing a stranger. She enjoyed shopping, reading, watching nature, and music of all kinds. She loved her family and was a woman of great faith, attending Warsaw Community Church.
Surviving are three daughters: Stacey Miller of Warsaw, Jody (Darwin) Hurd of Warsaw, and Crystal Terry of Wabash and adult grandchildren: Michele O’Hara of Winona Lake and Austin Wadkins of Warsaw. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Alayzia, Tommy, Jameson, Landon, Grace and Clara; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Dani; her brothers, Ted (Carol) Flohr and Sam (Wanda) Flohr of Rochester; her niece, Patsy Waymire of Akron and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her sons, William Johnson, Jr., best known as “Duane,” and Aaron Steven Miller; her husband, Tommy Miller; her parents, several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
